Welcome back to our regular customers and a big welcome to our first-time guests. Please relax and feel free to ask us for any assistance from any of our colleagues. We will endeavour to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

We encourage you to explore our beautiful panoramic view of Georges Bay from the deck and enjoy the refurbishment that has taken place throughout the hotel over this year.

Our Resort is a mix of modern and traditional design, contemporary furnishings, and relaxed, personal service. Our investments include the ongoing refurbishment of our bedrooms in the coming years.

We have introduced many new facilities such as our Bistro, Authentic Thai Baan Chiang Restaurant and much more.

Enjoy the use of our leisure facilities, including books, board games, Swimming pool, Tai Chi and boot camp with our onsite personal trainer, as well as bicycle, kayak and paddle board hire - a great way to unwind.

You will find in this compendium all the relevant information to assist you with our facilities, our services, food and beverage options and local information.

Reception Hours

Reception hours are from 2pm - 6pm.

Telephones

Telephones are available in each guest lounge.

If you have an EMERGENCY outside reception hours, please dial 9 or using your mobile device call 0363 761 999 or 0401 934 574.

In a life threatening emergency dial 0 000 For Police, Ambulance or Fire.

Night Service

After hours 21.00 – 7.00 reception is only available for Emergency calls please.

For non-urgent callouts, a $50.00 callout fee will apply. This includes but is not limited to loss or forgetting of room keys.

Guest Lounge

Snacks and utensils (toothpaste, shower caps, etc.) can be purchased from the vending machine.

Guest lounges are available for your relaxation between 8am till 8pm. Please respect the comfort and wellbeing of others and keep noise at a respectful level.

Each guest lounge has a microwave available for heating babies’ milk and dietary foods with your own packaging and cutlery. Not suitable for meal preparation.

After Hours Entry

For security reasons, the doors are locked at 8pm.

External doors cannot be unlocked with your room key.

Doors are never locked from the inside, so that you can always go out, however, if it is out of hours, you will not be able to get back in.

If you wish to re-enterthe hotel after hours, please obtain a front door entry code.

Internet

Internet is fast and free of charge and available throughout the hotel.

Please see reception for your complementary Wi-Fi password.

Televisions

Televisions in the rooms are Smart TV’s allowing access to digital channels, You Tube, Netflix, and Stan. To access Netflix or Stan you need to enter your subscription details or start a free 30 day trial at netflix.com and stan.com.au.

How to navigate Smart TV

The simple design of the Home screen menu makes it easy to navigate. It serves as the central location to access Notifications, Apps, Live TV, Source, Media and Settings. To access the Home screen, press the home button on your remote control and use the arrows on the D-pad to make your selection.

The Home screen displays the following section names:

Notifications If your TV is connected to an external device, the screen will be prompted.

Apps This is the one location where you have access to all the apps on your TV. You can enjoy a wide range of services including video streaming and web browsing.

Live TV Switch to Live TV input.

Source All Source are listed here. You can select a connected external device, then the output of the selected device is displayed on the TV’s screen.

Safe

For the security of your personal items, a safe is located in the wardrobe.

You will find the key with your room key.

Drinking Water

Our tap water is safe to drink.

However, filtered Tasmanian mountain water is provided in the guest lounges. Please feel free to refill your own bottle.

Tea and Coffee

For your convenience, tea and coffee making facilities are provided in your room. Should you require more tea, coffee, sugar, and milk, please do not hesitate to see staff.

Smoke Free Rooms

Panorama Resort is a non-smoking property.

We request that you do not smoke in your room or on your balcony.

Smoking is permitted on an assigned area on the deck.

A cleaning fee of $200 applies if your room requires additional cleaning due to the smell of smoke.

Fire Alarm

Please acquaint yourself with the information on fire emergencies posted on the back of your room door. If the unlikely event of a fire, please proceed to the nearest fire escape.

If the fire is outside your room, shut the door, place wet towels under it and wait for assistance.

Cooking is prohibited in rooms, if a guest is found to have activated the fire alarm without due cause, they may be deemed liable for associated fire department call out fee of $300.

Check Out

Check out time is 10am.

Late check out arrangements can be made subject to availability. Extra charges will apply.

When departing please leave key in the drop off box at reception.

Laundry

The guest laundry is located next to room 30 on the ground floor.

Operating hours are from 8am-8pm.

There are two washing machines and two dryers that operate with 6 x $1 coins ($6) for each machine. The dryers will also accept $2 coins.

The soap powder dispenser requires 2 x $1 coins ($2).

Swimming Pool

Swimming pool hours from 8am-8pm. Closed during winter.

Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Running, diving, or bombing is prohibited as well as any glassware.

Pool towels are available from reception. Please do not use the white towels supplied in your room. Please return the used pool towels to reception.

Kayak, Paddle board and bicycle Hire

Enjoy a thrill-seeking mountain bike adventure or a relaxing paddle with kayaks or paddle board around Georges Bay, for all enquires see reception.

Wellbeing Activities

Observe the birds of George’s Bay in their natural habitat from the viewing deck, binoculars are available.

The Resort offers weekly programmed activities by our certified trainer these include personal fitness, yoga and Tai chi, for all enquires see reception.

Lost Property

Lost property will be held for a period of 1 month. Any items that are not claimed within this time will be donated to charity.

If you require forgotten property to be posted, postage cost will be charged using your provided credit card.

No Party Policy

We remind guests that the Panorama has a strict No Party Policy.

Registered guests are prohibited from allowing non-registered guests from staying in their rooms.

Any behaviour regarded to be disturbing the peace will result in eviction from the property. Should you have any disturbance from the neighbouring apartment, please contact management immediately.

Environment

The Panorama St. Helens Resort is committed to green hotel policies and the implementation of measures to help protect and sustain the environment for future generations. We aim to be an increasingly efficient environmental hotel. By working together, we can achieve these environmental goals.

Please turn off all heating or cooling in your room when you leave for the day.
We use low energy light bulbs (i.e. LED), to save power consumption.
Dual flush toilet systems for water conservation.
We use solar power to reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint.
Re-use of guest towels, again to reduce water usage and discharge of suds into our environment.
Reduce plastic bottle, filtered Tasmanian water provided at the guest lounges.

Rooms are not equipped with cooking facilities. Please do not cook in rooms.
